Sipo Matador - Jay CrawfordC’est comme une tradition !

Quand Jay Crawford vient en France visiter ses parents, Barre and Mary Phillips, il nous est impossible de ne pas faire de musique !
The famous « Grey Hair and Glasses » : A big band where we are two 🙂 !
THE LAST RIDE HOME

A partir d’un texte écrit en 1984 par Jeanne Michaud & Frank Lovisolo : Ghost Rider

Adaptation pour ce titre Jay Crawford

Chant : Jay Crawford

Composition, guitares, programmation basse

Batterie, mixage : Frank César Lovisolo

The Last Ride Home
(Ghost Rider)

Thank you for driving me home girl,
On the road of mane which
separate us
Thank you for taking me home girl,
Cause I couldn’t see us in your eyes.
But the sky is gone,
And my head is crushed in your back,
And I feel like dust,
In the storm of the crepuscular light!
Alone on the iron way
The sun explodes and the barriers have gone…
[Refrain 2 or 3 times]
Did I say, thank you for averting my eyes,
Making them in love by the power of the wind…
Did I say, thank you for averting my eyes,
Cause the sun doesn’t light me, anymore…
Then the storm comes back
And my love is un-grooved in the sky,
And my hair is floating, swimming…
In the shower of the wind…
Alone on the iron way
The sun explodes and the barriers have gone…
[Refrain 2 or 3 times]
Soon I’ll be home again, I’ll think of the last time
You’ll be far away, and I lost to me,
Then my hurt love will begin to cry,
I just took a trip on you tonight…

Oh, Thanks for showing my eyes,
Making them in love by the power of the wind.
Thank you for showing my eyes,
Cause the sun doesn’t light me.

Alone on the iron way
The sun explodes and the barriers have gone…
[Refrain 2 or 3 times]

Gare - Jay CrawfordAbout Jay Crawford:

Born in 1962 in San Francisco.

I lived in a far-out musical/hippie commune with « The sons of Champlin » until 1969, whereupon my mother met, and swiftly fell in love with, E.C.M. Recording Free-Jazz artist, Contra Bassist « Barre Phillips ».

We moved to France where we toured and lived all over Europe. In 1976 I moved back to the U.S. just in time to rebel and dive into Punk Rock. Since then, I’ve been playing, touring, and recording with many bands, the most renown of which was Warner Bros. recording artists « BomB ». Bomb made 7 records and toured both the U.S. and Europe enjoying success and appreciation from an astoundingly wide ranging fan base for 13 years.

My current S.F. Bands are « The night Falls« , « Roadside Memorial », « Housecoat Project », « Le Group« , « Battery Powered Grandpa » and « The Janet Stuart Blues Band« . So ….in short, my musical tastes are very diverse and yes… I have been experienced!
