al-Q\u0101hirah al-Duwaliyy, AITA: CAI, OACI: HECA) est un a\u00e9roport international situ\u00e9 \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du Caire, \u00e0 22 kilom\u00e8tres au nord-est du centre-ville, dans le district d&rsquo;H\u00e9liopolis. C&rsquo;est l&rsquo;un des a\u00e9roports les plus fr\u00e9quent\u00e9s du monde arabe et d&rsquo;Afrique.<br \/>\n L&rsquo;a\u00e9roport est administr\u00e9 par l&rsquo;Egyptian Holding Compagny for Airports and Air Navigation (EHCAAN), qui contr\u00f4le quatre entreprises\u00a0: Cairo Airport Company, Egyptian Airports Company, National Air Navigation Services and Aviation Information Technology et le Cairo Airport Authority (CAA).<br \/>\n Plus de 65 compagnies a\u00e9riennes utilisent l&rsquo;a\u00e9roport du Caire (incluant les compagnies charters), et 9 lignes cargo. EgyptAir est la plus grosse compagnie de l&rsquo;a\u00e9roport, repr\u00e9sentant 61\u00a0% des d\u00e9parts en 2009. Son entr\u00e9e dans la Star Alliance en juillet 2008 rend possible pour l&rsquo;a\u00e9roport de devenir un hub majeur gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa position entre l&rsquo;Europe, l&rsquo;Afrique et le Moyen-Orient (surtout gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l&rsquo;accueil possible de l&rsquo;airbus A380).<br \/>\n En 2001, l&rsquo;a\u00e9roport a transport\u00e9 13 millions de passagers (-19,3\u00a0% par rapport \u00e0 2010) et a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 130 152 rotations a\u00e9riennes (-16,2 par rapport \u00e0 2010).<br \/>\n L&rsquo;a\u00e9roport comporte quatre terminaux, le troisi\u00e8me (et plus grand) ayant ouvert le 27 avril 2009, et le Terminal des Vols Saisonniers ayant ouvert le 20 septembre 2010. Le terminal 2 a \u00e9t\u00e9 ferm\u00e9 en avril 2010 pour travaux de r\u00e9novation. Une troisi\u00e8me piste d\u2019atterrissage s&rsquo;est ouverte en 2010. La piste 05L\/23R fait 3 300 m\u00e8tres de long, la 05C\/23C fait 4 000 m\u00e8tres de long, et la nouvelle piste 05R\/23L fait aussi 4 000 m\u00e8tres.
